Conduct is how your values express themselves through your actions. It’s not performance or display, but the consistent pattern of choices through which your character becomes known. Conduct takes form when the distance between what you believe and how you live begins to disappear. Gratitude strengthens conduct by reminding you that what you have received from life carries responsibilities as well as benefits. Here, character becomes tangible, and who you are is revealed not through what you profess, but through what you repeatedly choose to do. Values cease to be abstract ideals and become something lived and embodied.
